In Honor of Hillary
I was never a big fan of Hillary Clinton while I was a Republican--in fact, I disliked her very much. Even as I transitioned into a Left-Leaner, my loyalty lay with then-Senator Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign. However, Hillary began to grow on me after Obama won the Democratic nomination. Her willingness to stand behind Obama during the general election and serve on his Cabinet was truly inspiring. (Considering the vitriol of their primary campaign, I do not think I would have been so gracious.) And, in my humble opinion, I believe Hillary has done a fantastic job as Secretary of State. She has shown herself to be a force to be reckoned with and I have a not-so-secret wish for her to run as Obama's VP candidate in 2012. Of course, that would mean that Biden would have to take one for the team and Hillary would have to recant her "no more politics" statement--but one can always dream.
